Rich
Levandov
Rich
is currently a private investor in and consultant and advisor to
venture stage technology companies. He is a member of the Board
of Directors of Valent Software Corporation, Lumeria,
Sombasa Media, and Shoutmail
and holds early stage equity positions in numerous other Internet
startups. He represents technology deals for MacAndrews and Forbes,
a New York investment holding company controlled by Ronald O. Perelman.
From
1996 to 1998, Rich was an affiliate venture partner with SOFTBANK
Technology Ventures as well as acting President of OLIVR, a
streaming media technology start-up ultimately sold to Live Picture,
Inc. While at SOFTBANK, Rich sourced and led investments in Personalogic
and Art Technology
Group. Personalogic was acquired by America Online and Art Technology
Group recently completed an IPO and a secondary offering and currently
enjoys a $2 billion plus market cap.
From
1994-1996, Rich served as Vice President of Business Development
at America Online. From 1983-1993,
Rich was a co-founder and Vice President of Phoenix
Technologies Ltd., a PC systems software company that went public
in 1988. From 1981-1983, Rich was the PC product manger for Wang
Laboratories. He received a B.S. from Binghamton University in New
York.
